Hilarious and short Canon Rebel T5i Hands-On | The Camera Store | HDSLR | Scoop.it

The Canon Rebel line have always been excellent entry level cameras, so Chris and I were eager to check out the specs on the latest camera.  We discovered quickly that the T5i is essentially a Rebel T4i with a new kit lens.  We felt that the shortest TCSTV review ever was the appropriate response, and here you have it.

planetMitch's insight:

I wish i'd thought of this one... it is so true. Canon - really?

Canon announces the EOS C500 Menu Simulator | HDSLR | Scoop.it

Canon U.S.A. has launched a new educational resource that may be of interest to your readers – the Cinema EOS C500 4K Digital Cinema Camera Menu Simulator.  Developed by the Canon Digital Learning Center (CDLC), the EOS C500 Menu Simulator is a fully interactive platform that allows users to familiarize themselves with the camera’s Main Menu and Custom Picture Menu.

With this innovative training tool, prospective users of the EOS C500 can navigate the simulated menu system with a mouse, keyboard arrow keys or their fingers (when using a touch screen device).  Ideal for cinematographers, camera operators, camera assistants, producers, and directors, the Menu Simulator provides a platform to research camera behavior and features.

For added convenience, the EOS C500 Menu Simulator has been optimized for use on personal computers and tablet devices so it can be used at home, on set, or on-the-go.

planetMitch's insight:

Good to see tools to help see the menu system of a camera - could be good to help decide to purchase or even to help on set.

Are expensive cameras needed to take great video? NO!

You can take a video with your iphone. Also, there are many devices which can help the iphone to take better video. Here are videos of taking videos with iphone and introduction of those helpful devices.

If you don't have iphone, don't worry! You can still take the video with your galaxy, too!
